Survodaya Group of College Nepaladmission.comThe Sarvodaya Educational Trust was established on November 2nd 1995 to serve the needy and the weaker section in the society. The trust today runs several institutions in medical, paramedical and also in law. However the Trust felt that human services should be rendered to the people by preparing nurses to meet the health demands and thus the schools and colleges of Nursing were established. Sarvodaya College of Nursing was established in the year1995 to promote nursing education which is a pivot in the health care delivery system and it aids in the progress of research in field of nursing.The institution was initially offering Diploma in Nursing. But as years rolled on, its rays had spread to other latitudes in nursing education such as BSc. (Nursing) in years 1998, pc B.Sc (N) in the year 2000 and to add feather in the cap of our institution the MSc(N) program was started in the year 2002. The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Hearth Sciences Bangalore, and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and by the Karnataka Nursing Council. The college believes in preparing nurses from all states of India and abroad to meet the great challenges of service in the field of nursing. Nursing must keep themselves abreast of new findings enabling them to advance along with other health professionals if the people (consumers) are to be assured of a healthy health care programme.

Henceforth the college prepares its students to develop ability to critically analyze problems and take responsibility effectiveness throughout their careers. The college believes in a system of education that suits with the dynamic educational patterns of the country to meet the needs of the society.We the faculty of college of Nursing believes that nursing is a service of which relates to whole person through ministry of caring and nurturing. We also believe that nurses prepared from this college will be able to take responsibilities and meet challenges by providing excellence of comprehensive nursing care.

B Sc Nursing:
A candidate shall be eligible for admission if he/she has passed the 10+2 examination conducted by State of Karnataka or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects, & including English or an examination recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.Has secured not less than 45% of marks on an aggregate for the above subjects in the qualifying examination referred to in subjects in the clause (1) and not less than 40% of the marks if he/she belongs to scheduled castes / scheduled tribes or other backward castes.Has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete this age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.Candidates shall be medically fit.

Course of Study
Duration :
The course of study shall extend over a period of 4 academic years from the date of commencement of his/her study of the subjects comprising the nursing curriculum to the date of examination. Terms and vacations shall be as notified by the University from time to time.The course of study is comprised of 1, 2, 3, 4, year of B.Sc. (Nursing). A candidate shall undergo a course of instructions on the following extending over a period of one/two academic years.

General Information :
The provisionally selected candidates after the interview will be intimated about the fees payable to the institution.Selection-intimation-letter is to be surrendered to the college office at the time of paying the fees.Admission secured on the basis of false information supplied shall stand cancelled and the fees forfeited.All communication with office in connection with the application can be entertained only when the application number is quoted. All communications from the college will be made if a self addressed stamped envelope is enclosed.Selection notification will intimate the date of commencement of classes. Candidates remaining absent for the first three consecutive days without prior permission shall forfeit their admission as well as fees.
Admission granted is prodigal subject to :
a) The payment of all fees payable to the institutions.
b) Submission of eligibility certificates from the Rajiv Gandhi University in case of Non-Karnataka State students
c) Submission of all certificates and testimonials in original as per requirement.
d) Medical fitness certificate.

Fees towards Eligibility and Registration, Admission approval payable to “Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences” will be extra.

Clinical training means 8 hours of integrated clinical duties in which 2 weeks of evening and night shift duties are included.
Clinical training should be carried out as 8 hours per day @48 hours per week.
Students during Clinical training will be supervised by nursing teachers.

Attendance :
A minimum of not less than 80% attendance in theory and practical / clinical separately in each subject in each academic year is essential for appearing in the examination. A candidate pursuing the course shall study in the college for the entire period as a full time student. No candidate is permitted to work in a hospital nursing / home/ laboratory / college studying this course of study of appears for other examination conducted by this university or any other university in India or Abroad during the period of registration. Each academic year shall be taken as a unit for calculating the attendance.
